LOOK: Alabama fans no longer want Dabo Swinney to replace Nick Saban

There is only one Nick Saban. Many fans dislike the Alabama football program because of him alone. The reason for the distaste? Winning. Seven national titles, 10 SEC Championships, 281 wins and only 69 losses makes for a very impressive resumé.

When Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers won two national championships over the Crimson Tide in 2016 and 2018, some fans believed Saban was falling off while Swinney was on the rise.

One day, Saban will retire. While we do not know when that will be, it’s inevitable. Figuring out his replacement is a very controversial topic; but for quite some time, fans wanted Alabama native and former Crimson Tide wide receiver, Dabo Swinney.

The Tide fans no longer feel this way.

Clemson currently sits at No. 25 in the latest AP Poll after losing to Duke 28-7 and finished the 2022 season on a pretty sour note. Alabama fans took to social media to let it be known they are going to pass on Swinney.
