Lockdown extended for parts of Queensland
Moreton Bay #MoretonBay
The lockdown has been extended for Brisbane and Moreton Bay as three new cases of COVID-19 emerged. From 6pm Friday night, the local government areas of Noosa, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Redlands, Gold Coast, Scenic Rim, Lockyer Valley, Somerset and Townsville will come out of lockdown. Restrictions will remain in place for the next two weeks for the 10 LGAs who come out of lockdown – which includes wearing a mask whenever you’re outside the home, one person per four square metres, a maximum of 30 people in the home and seated while eating a drinking. Brisbane City and Moreton Bay will remain in lockdown for at least another 24 hours as they work through contacting tracing any potential close contacts.
