The big shakeup of Keir Starmer’s frontbench team continues. Liz Kendall has been announced as the new shadow work and pensions secretary, replacing Jon Ashworth.

Kendall came fourth in the 2015 Labour leadership election and is typically regarded as being on the Blairite wing of the party.
