Liverpool supporters have been expressing their happiness for former player Conor Coady, following a memorable night on England duty.

The Wolves centre-back started for the Three Lions in their 3-0 win over Wales at Wembley on Thursday, scoring his side’s second goal of the evening and his first for his country.

Coady wheeled away in celebration looking delighted, no doubt fulfilling a childhood dream.

The 27-year-old has matured into one of England’s most consistent defenders, also proving to be a key man for an excellent Wolves side.

Coady started his career at Liverpool, captaining the youth team and finding himself rated highly by many at the academy.

It didn’t work out for him at Anfield, sadly, and he departed for Huddersfield Town in 2014.

He has since gone on to enjoy an impressive career, however, and it seems to be gathering momentum all the time.

These Liverpool fans took to Twitter to congratulate the likeable Coady, following his first international goal.
