Liverpool beating Norwich in FA Cup could backfire on Jurgen Klopp

No mercy for David Wagner
Norwich boss David Wagner is Klopp’s best friend and was best man at his wedding, as it felt fitting that he would be in the opposite dugout on the first match since Klopp’s bombshell announcement this week.
They caught up before kick-off and were in a positive spirit, but there was no room for sentiment on the pitch and Klopp showed no mercy for Wagner.
He brought on the likes of Van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold and Dominik Szoboszlai while comfortably leading, as Klopp explained how it would be a “special” day for him alongside Wagner, who he consoled as Szoboszlai got the Reds’ fifth.
“I’m always happy when he’s doing well,” said Klopp before the match. “He’s had problems with injuries early on in the season but we are prepared for them because we know where their qualities are. With our friendship, we already want to beat them but he will want to beat us as well and in the dugout, it’s always special to see him.”
