The Tennessee Vols and Oregon State men’s basketball teams battled in the first round of the 2021 NCAA Tournament on Friday, March 19.
Oregon State defeated Tennessee 70-56.
Oregon State advanced to the Round of 32 on Sunday against the winner of No. 4 seed Oklahoma State and No. 13 seed Liberty.
No. 5-seeded Tennessee went to 18-8 overall. No. 12 seed Oregon State improved to 18-12 overall.
After Friday, Oregon State leads the all-time series 4-1 vs. Tennessee. The previous meeting was in 1990.

Roman Silva led Oregon State with 16 points in the win. The Beavers got 14 points from Jarod Lucas.
