Live Nottingham Trent Bridge travel updates as first day of England cricket Test match causes delays
Trent Bridge #TrentBridge
Traffic is moving slowly around the area of Trent Bridge cricket stadium in West Bridgford because of England’s Test match with New Zealand at the historic venue. The famous Nottinghamshire ground is home to the second Test between the two sides, with day one of action starting from 11am on Friday (June 10) morning.
Because of the sheer volume of people in the area, traffic is said to be moving slowly on surrounding roads, and extra time for journeys is being encouraged. The first day of the Test match is sold out, and Trent Bridge has a capacity of 17,500.

Usually, the roads around the ground are busiest at a time when spectators are looking to gain entry to the venue. That means Radcliffe Road, Bridgford Road, Fox Road and Hound Road, which all run around the ground, and junctions with these roads are expected to be busier than usual.
Sometimes, this can back up on to the A60 Loughborough Road, and cause delays for traffic travelling in either direction. Be sure to keep up-to-date with all the latest travel information as it happens through our live blog below.
