LIVE AFL: Roos aim to avoid dreaded spoon with Clarko watching against Suns

Clarko #Clarko

North Melbourne will be keen to continue to ride the good news wave on Saturday and finish a horror 2022 campaign in style as it faces the Gold Coast Suns at Marvel Stadium.

The Kangaroos (2-19, 56.5%), who appointed Alastair Clarkson as coach for 2023 and beyond on Friday, would usurp West Coast on the ladder with a win. And with the Eagles playing top-placed Geelong in Geelong later in the day, that would likely see North avoid the wooden spoon.

The Suns (9-12, 99.1%) can equal their best ever season record with a victory and jump to 10-12 — they finished with that ratio in 2014. But they have a bad record at Docklands, winning just seven of their 29 games there.
