The Heat’s rising on the New York Knicks … literally and figuratively.

After a 109-101 defeat at the hands of the Miami Heat in Game 4 of the NBA Playoffs’ Eastern Conference Semifinals on Monday, the Knicks’ 2022-23 season is on the brink of oblivion, having fallen behind 3-1 in the best-of-seven series that’s to either reach a sixth game or end in the fifth on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden (7:30 p.m. ET, TNT).

In anticipation of the fateful fifth game, All Knicks editor/lead contributor Geoff Magliocchetti joined Dan Bahl and Charlie Voelker on “The Drive with Charlie and Dan,” the afternoon program of ESPN Radio’s Albany, NY affiliate WTMM-FM on Tuesday to discuss exactly what went wrong in Miami and what the Knicks can do to extend the series.

Listen to the full interview here with timestamps to separate topics listed below …

0:39: The Knicks’ fourth quarter debacle against the Heat in Game 4, including the 7-1 deficit in offensive rebounds in the fourth quarter.

4:20: What’s been different between the series against the Heat and the victorious opening round matchup against Cleveland.

7:19: How to get the fight back into Julius Randle in time for Game 5 and what the future holds for the two-time All-Star.

12:52: What happens in Game 5 and how the Knicks leap back into the series.

“The Drive with Charlie and Dan” airs weekdays from 3-7 p.m. ET on WTMM. Listen to the live stream here.
