Linda Ronstadt is the latest music legend to sell her catalog.

The multiple Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter has sold her recorded music assets to mogul Irving Azoff’s new venture Iconic Artists Group, for an undisclosed sum.

According to reports, the deal will see Ronstadt and her manager and assistant partner work to market her catalog and “preserve her legacy in the digital era.”

“I’m very pleased about this partnership,” said Ronstadt, who won her 11th Grammy Award earlier this month. “It’s extremely gratifying to be in the company of Irving Azoff, his team, and his family of great artists, many of whom have been my friends and colleagues for years. It feels like home.”

The deal is the third acquisition for the company, following David Crosby’s publishing and recorded music rights, comprising of his solo works, as well as his work with The Byrds; Crosby & Nash; Crosby, Stills & Nash; and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

Additionally, Iconic also owns a controlling stake in the Beach Boys’ intellectual property, including the band’s sound recordings, brand, select musical compositions and memorabilia.

In December, Bob Dylan closed a rumored nine-figure catalog sale to Universal Music Group, and Stevie Nicks recently sold 80% of her extensive catalog in what has been estimated as a $100 million deal.

Dolly Parton has said she’s open to a similar deal.

Founded in 2018, the Los Angeles-based firm is described as “a brand development and management company dedicated to building a portfolio of iconic entertainment artists, creators and brands.”

With reported sales of more than 100 million records worldwide, Ronstadt has recorded over 120 albums, with at least 31 gold and platinum records, and sold more than 100 million records worldwide.

Spanning multiple genres, the 11-time Grammy Award winner is known for hits such as “You’re No Good,” “When Will I be Loved,” the chart-topping Aaron Neville duet “I Don’t Know Much” and covers of songs such as Roy Orbison’s “Blue Bayou,” the Eagles’ “Desperado” and The Everly Brothers’ “When Will I Be Loved.”

Among her accolades, the Tucson native has three American Music Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards, an Emmy, and an ALMA Award.

Ronstadt, 74, was awarded the Kennedy Center Honor in 2019.

She is the subject of the critically acclaimed documentary “Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice,” which premiered on CNN New Year’s Day 2020.

“We were friends and family and grew up together, and what a ride it has been,” Azoff said. “The countless tours together with the Eagles and Linda and their collaborations are the backbone of the history of Southern California music.”

“Linda’s talent is unparalleled, but her courage and commitment to make important music of many genres is her legacy,” he continued. “We will preserve that legacy for her at all costs. Thank you, Linda and John. We won’t let you down.”
