Lil Baby Says He Charges Up to $350,000 for a Feature

Lil Baby’s feature rate has apparently surged over the past two years.

Back in 2020, the Quality Control rapper confirmed he was seeking $100,000 for a guest verse—an undeniable steal considering he had assisted hits like Future and Drake’s “Life Is Good” remix, DJ Khaled’s “You Stay,” Yo Gotti’s “Put a Date on It,” and Travis Scott’s “Highest in the Room” remix. Vince Staples confirmed Lil Baby’s feature price during a May interview with Big Boy that year, saying the Harder Than Ever MC had waived the $100,000 fee for his “East Point Prayer” verse.

QC boss Pierre “Pee” Thomas and Chicago’s Lil Durk agreed that Lil Baby’s asking price was way too low, and encouraged the ATL rapper to double it.

Well, it seems Lil Baby took the advice and significantly upped his rate. He addressed the increase during an appearance on Big Loon’s The Experience podcast.

“I don’t even be doing features no more,” he said when asked what he charges for a verse. “Like, $300,000, $350,000. But I ain’t been doing features lately.”

Lil Baby explained he paused his guest appearances because he was busy working on his new project, but is willing to hop on a track when he’s got the time.

“But if I know I ain’t putting out no album, or I ain’t got nothing going on, like, why not?” he explained.

Elsewhere in the interview, Lil Baby addresses his time behind bars, balancing his career with family life, and finally finding happiness.

“There was a long time I wasn’t happy, though. … But now I’m finally in like a happy stage. I wake up, I’ll be happy now,” he revealed at the 34:28 mark, before Loon asked him what caused him to be unhappy. “I don’t know. A lot of shit I be going through, getting adjusted to this, changing, having to stop being around people I’m used to being around. … It was just like adapting to my new environment—me in a little dark spot for a minute, man.”

You can check out the full interview above. Lil Baby is set to drop his third studio album It’s Only Me this Friday, Oct. 14.
