Lightning acquire forward Tanner Jeannot from Nashville

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired forward Tanner Jeannot from the Nashville Predators in exchange for defenseman Cal Foote, the Lightning’s first-round pick in 2025 (Top 10 protected), their second-round selection in 2024, as well as third, fourth and fifth-round picks in 2023, vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced today.
Jeannot, 6-foot-2, 208 pounds, has played in 56 games for the Predators this season, recording five goals and 14 points, including 85 penalty minutes. He leads Nashville for hits with 213 and all forwards for blocked shots with 51.
The Estevan, Saskatchewan native has appeared in 152 career NHL games, all with Nashville, recording 34 goals and 62 points with 217 penalty minutes. Jeannot has also skated in nine career Stanley Cup Playoff games during the 2021 and 2022 postseasons, recording a pair of assists.
Jeannot was originally undrafted and signed with the Predators as a free agent.
