Union Boss Jason Schilling may want teachers, students, parents, media, governments and voters to bow to his demands but unfortunately for him, we live in a democracy. I’m very happy with the UCP government. I’m very happy with the family-focused leadership of the Premier that protects children. Take a bow Danielle Smith because the vast majority of Albertans support you. Keep up the good work.

(To be fair, Schilling was elected by teachers to be their leader. But yes, he doesn’t speak for all Albertans.)
Right balance
“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail,” – Emerson. I completely agree with Danielle Smith. Protecting our youth from themselves is paramount. Why can’t there be more patience about choices being made before some children have barely even reached puberty?

(It’s certainly sparked a heated debate.)
In agreement
Right on Premier Smith. Only a small, vocal, few disagree with you on parental rights. Speaking as a parent, elementary teachers have zero right to even bring up gender choice, pronouns or anything related to sex. Sex education should only be taught starting in junior high and then just the Birds and the Bees. I don’t recall any gender dysphoria 60 years ago when I was in school. I’m sure there might have been the odd case but it certainly wasn’t a classroom topic nor should it be.

(But were you taught about sex at all 60 years ago?)
Managing Trump
Maga Trump stated that if he was elected again, he would shut down US television networks and/or imprison network executives who broadcast things that Trump did not like. To save the US and Canada and the rest of the world from this want-to-be tyrant, the ABC, CBS and NBC networks should band together now, to broadcast many, daily, short election commercials for the democratic party, free of charge, so the US Democratic Party could use the rest of their donated funds for other election expenses to get current the democratic President Biden re-elected in November 2024.

(Don’t know how that would help their cause should Trump win in November.)
