(Letter) Christina Kauffman: Time to buck Buck

Buck #Buck

One would think that Ken Buck would tire of hearing the echo chamber between his ears but that is not to be.

I thought that his vote to certify the legal election of Joe Biden on January 6, 2021, was a sign that he was possibly moving to a slightly more moderate position but that was wishful thinking on my part.  I should have realized that when he did not say to shoot them all and let God sort them out when referring to Trump’s violent mob.

Ken Buck disappointed some constituents when he tweeted that he did not vote for the January 6 committee to be convened because it was partisan.  He should have volunteered to be on that dais but then he may have to admit the truth of the insurrection and that may cost him contributions.

Currently his echo chamber reflects a clear lack of science.  Ken Buck incorrectly remarked that all of the combined medical knowledge in the world has been wrong about the severity of COVID-19 because a 78-year-old man, specifically President Joe Biden, has not died after contracting the disease.

Are we supposed to be satisfied that Ken Buck represents our little pinpoint on the planet but hasn’t figured out that masking, distance and, oh yes, vaccinations help us survive the disease?  That includes 78-year-old humans.

He is actually upset that this pandemic doesn’t take the more senior, senior citizens to the old Pickle Ball court in the sky?

I am sure all the senior Weld County voters who voted for him last time will be so glad to hear that he is looking out for their well-being by wanting the preventative medical treatments not to work on them.  Maybe he is just being partisan by wishing that for only for President Biden.

Compassion is clearly not in his echo chamber. I truly believe that if any one of us is injured and lying on the side of a road that we should hope for a Joe Neguse to drive by and not a Ken Buck.

Time to buck Buck!  We deserve better.
