After Leeds United’s strong start to the season, Elland Road will welcome Raheem Sterling and Chelsea for Jesse Marsch’s toughest test of the campaign so far. Both teams have a win and a draw to open the season, but Chelsea will feel hard done by their 2-2 draw with Tottenham last weekend with calls not going their way. Will the Blues be able to use that disappointment to make sure that they get ahead of Leeds early on or will Jack Harrison and Rodrigo’s strong form cause the defense issues?
The biggest questions are around who will put the ball in the back of the net for Chelsea. Of the three goals scored by the Blues this season, two have been scored by defenders and the other was converted via a Jorginho penalty. They’ll need more from the front three to get past Leeds as only Raheem Sterling has an assist so far this season. Americans Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams get the start for Leeds, while Christian Pulisic, for the third straight league game, is on the bench:
