LeBron James wanted fans to stop obsessing over Bronny’s place in NBA mock drafts

In one of its latest 2024 NBA mock drafts, ESPN reportedly did not include USC’s Bronny James in its projections for next season. News of this quickly spread Monday, finding its way to his dad. Lebron soon called out anyone giving such mock drafts attention, imploring people to let Bronny be, well, Bronny.

Bronny James has a lot of pressure to follow in his dad’s footsteps. The expectations placed on him — fair or not — are astronomical, and USC not doing well this season hasn’t helped. LeBron knows about expectations and how much it can impact a player who is still developing like Bronny (and returning from a life-threatening situation).
