After the Los Angeles Lakers failed to acquire another star player when the Dallas Mavericks traded for Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving, LeBron James reacted on Twitter with a cryptic post:
James has not been shy about expressing his desire for the Lakers to improve the roster amid a disappointing season. In January, he indicated to Sam Amick of The Athletic that his patience for the team’s lack of upgrades was starting to run thin.
“Y’all know what the f–k should be happening,” James said. “I don’t need to talk.”
With Thursday’s trade deadline approaching, the Lakers are running out of options that would help turn their season around. At 25-29, Los Angeles sits in last place in the Pacific Division and runs the risk of missing the playoffs for the second straight year.
It appears the franchise should also be concerned about James’ morale at this point.
