Laurence Fox burns Pride flags
Laurence Fox has been heavily mocked for a vile social media stunt as he tried and failed to burn Pride flags.
The former actor, 45, spent his Father’s Day burning flags in his garden as part of a horrific stunt that has faced severe backlash.
He took to Twitter to share footage of his act, where he described the flags as ‘child mutilation bunting’.
Laurence then doused the Pride flags in lighter fluid before trying to set them alight saying “goodbye” as he went along the row of flags.
In the stunt, the flags failed to burn as the flames soon went out on their own.
The controversial Reclaim Party leader was quickly mocked as he uploaded the foul stunt with the caption: “My friend brought me some child mutilation bunting. It got the treatment it deserved.”

Social media users condemned Laurence as one said: “Wow scared of a flag.”
“Just casually discussing hate crimes. It’s a shame you didn’t burn down your garden,” added another.
Someone else quipped: “You know, most people just see their kids on Fathers Day.”
“You want to be an MP? Our standards have dropped,” a fourth said. Another social media user wrote: “You really are a sad man.”
The Pride flag is a symbol of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) pride and LGBT social movements.
The colours reflect the diversity of the LGBT community and the spectrum of human sexuality and gender.
In June last year, Fox received a temporary ban from Twitter for a similar offensive stunt.
He changed his profile picture to a swastika made out of four LGBTQ+ pride flags, seeing his account banned for violating Twitter rules regarding abusive profile information and rules against posting hateful imagery.
A Twitter spokesperson at the time told the Mirror: “We took enforcement action on the account referenced for violating our rules on Abusive Profile Information and Hateful Conduct.

“The account owner was required to remove the violative profile image before regaining access to their account.”
However, he returned to social media once the ban was lifted sharing the warning from Twitter with his 310,400 followers and discussed the possibility of “wokies” having a meltdown over a new altered image of a flag.
He sparked outrage as he changed his profile picture to a swastika constructed from various pride flags just days after a gunman killed two people during the Oslo Pride festival.
In the email sent to the dad of two, Twitter told Laurence how his profile picture update had violated their rules and his account had been locked.
In order to regain posting privileges and unlock his account, the wannabe politician was told to “delete the content that violates [Twitter’s] rules” – which he did.
Campaign Against Antisemitism called out the controversial activist for using a swastika.
“Displaying pride flags in the shape of a swastika is not the edgy statement that you think it is,” they wrote on Twitter regarding the image.
“It is possible to express a view without the hate, and without insulting those murdered by the Nazis, which included Jews and LGBT people.”
Fox shares two sons with actress and ex-wife Billie Piper.
