Despite missing several opportunities in the first half, Chelsea found their breakthrough early in the second half. Lauren James swiftly capitalized on Niamh Charles’ cross, delivering a powerful first-time strike within a minute of the restart.

Her second goal came from exploiting a poorly executed headed clearance, following Kirby’s earlier contribution from a corner flicked on by Melanie Leupolz.
