Lauren Goodger is excited about her return to The Only Way Is Essex and the potential TV appearance of her daughter Larose.

The reality TV star, 37, first appeared on TOWIE in 2010, but then left in 2015. However, Lauren has recently returned to filming the ITVBe show. There had been whispers about Lauren’s return for years, but the time never felt right for her – until now.

Lauren has already filmed scenes at her home in Essex and with other original TOWIE stars like Amy Childs, as well as new faces including her friend, Junaid Ahmed. Even though returning to filming burst her “mum bubble”, Lauren knew instantly that she had made the right choice one she was back filming again.

“I was going to go back two years ago but then I had Larose and then went through a terrible time with my second pregnancy and everything else, so it just wasn’t ever the right time,” she shared. “If the producers had spoken to me a year ago, I wouldn’t have done it but I feel ready now.

“I wasn’t nervous because TOWIE’s sort of my home, but I’ve been in a mum bubble so the first day of filming was a complete shock,” she told OK! Magazine. “It’s like driving a car though. You might not do it for 10 years, but then you get back in the driver’s seat and pick it straight back up.

“You don’t forget what you’re doing. And when I was in mum mode, nothing else mattered for such a long time, but now I’m finding myself again. I’m remembering who I was before I became a mum and that’s so important and healthy. All my friends have got jobs and work most mums do and I want Larose to see that I’ve got a job too.”

Lauren, who has been through more than 60 episodes full of ups and downs, knows all about life in front of the camera. She has faced tough times and break-ups with everyone watching. But now, Lauren has shared that there is something different about how the show looks after its young stars.

The reality TV star has revealed that there are now welfare teams on set for every scene – which makes a huge difference to her experience on the show. Lauren described having the welfare team as “amazing” given that she is now a busy mum with a busy routine. Lauren revealed that she cannot film at certain times and prioritises being a mum over filming – something which she will continue to do.

Lauren first appeared on TOWIE as she was dealing with her split from Mark Wright, who is now married to Michelle Keegan. Even though it was a tough time for Lauren, she has said that she wouldn’t change a thing about her past TOWIE storylines.

“There is nothing I regret and nothing I would change,” she told. “Everything that happened good and bad was exactly what was meant to happen. At that age you’re supposed to have the drama, relationships and the partying. I tell my young niece and the young ones on TOWIE now, ‘Just go out, live your life.’ I’m grateful for everything I experienced on the show. It’s why I am who I am today.”

In July 2021, Lauren welcomed daughter Larose with her ex-partner Charles Drury, 26. A year later, she faced a heartbreaking loss when their second daughter, Lorena, passed away just minutes after being born. This tragedy happened less than a week after her former boyfriend Jake McLean died in a car crash while on holiday in Turkey.

The tragic life events left Lauren in a very dark place, and she told OK! Magazine that the only reason she managed to get through it was because of her daughter Larose – who could be set to make a cameo in TOWIE.
