Keith Edwards, who is a Democratic strategist according to his Instagram bio, shared the clips on his Twitter late on Tuesday.
“These before and after photos at Lauren Boebert’s election party are giving me life,” he wrote as a caption.
One of the photos shows Boebert and her husband smiling while raising their hats and surrounded by their smiling supporters.
The second picture apparently shows a more downcast Boebert and her supporters lowering their heads, appearing disappointed.
Some social media users have remarked that in the second picture Boebert and her supporters may be praying rather than reacting to the race. Others have also said that the pictures may have been taken close together as people are in similar positions.
According to the Associated Press, 81 percent of District 3’s votes have been counted. Frisch currently holds the lead at 51.2 percent while Boebert trails at 48.8 percent.
Other social media users have begun to mock Boebert as it appears she could lose the race.
Comedian Kristina Wong shared the pictures and tweeted: “I can’t wait to get Lauren Boebert as my Uber driver.”
Mississippi Free Press journalist Ashton Pittman tweeted: “538’s model had Lauren Boebert ‘highly favored to win Colorado’s third district, with 97-3 odds. Instead, she’s losing by 3 points with 82 percent of the vote in.”
Actor Bradley Whitford tweeted: “While the race has not been officially called, we can confirm that a Dancing With The Stars representative HAS reached out tonight to Lauren Boebert.
Sports commentator Al Bernstein also weighed in and tweeted: “The fact that Lauren Boebert [is losing] tonight makes me smile – as I’m sure it does many people.
Some social media users have highlighted that the race was not yet over and Boebert may be able to hold on to her position if the last few thousand votes counted go in her favor.
Producer and NYC PodFest founder Jeremy Wein tweeted: “It is nice thinking that she will lose because one of these maniacs should, but I sadly think Lauren Boebert is going to come back and win.
“Only down 7000 and with like 50,000 votes outstanding, with most of those coming from areas she is leading in… would love to be wrong.
“To be clear, vote counting for Lauren Boebert is far from over. She’s behind but closing the gap,” the creative director at First Person, Eric Melin, tweeted.
