Laura Whitmore, the host of Love Island, is angry with her publishers, Orion Spring, after pages of her new book were stuck together.
Several readers got in touch with Laura to complain about how pages were stuck together in some copies of her book, No One Can Change Your Life Except For You.
“I don’t know if it is the pregnancy hormones but I’m so angry for everyone who received a dodgy copy!” Laura fumed in a post to her instagram account.
“And I’ll bloody make sure it’s fixed I promise.
“The publisher promised me you’ll all get new copies.”
The Bray woman then gave fans her publishers contact details who was handling the bad batch.
“Once everyone has received a 100% quality book I will take down my other post. Please contact @orionspring if you have any issues,” Laura added.
A spokesman for Orion Spring stated: “We’re gutted to discover a small number of copies of the brilliant No One Can Change Your Life by @thewhitmore have a printer error where some pages are stuck together.
“You can’t change your life if you can’t read it, so just send us a DM with a photo of the affected copy and we’ll be happy to replace.”
It comes just days after Laura appeared on The Late Late Show with host Ryan Tubridy.
The Love Island host admitted she felt overwhelmed when she opened up to people about suffering a miscarriage in 2019 and said she felt “guilty” that she wasn’t prepared for the baby.
“It took me a long time,” Laura said.
“I didn’t talk about it for like a year or so and I also found out from my doctor that one in three women experience a miscarriage.
Suffer“I am sure a lot of miscarriages are not knowing or not telling as well and that really surprised me. I didn’t know that figure.
“But then I also didn’t want to be the poster girl for miscarriage.
“If you speak about something suddenly you’re the go-to person and you also need to heal yourself and move on and do other things because it doesn’t define you.
“I was a bit overwhelmed by it because I had a lot of people contacting me about their own experiences.
“I am so happy I wrote the book because it was a lot more authentic,” Laura concluded.
