Sneaky Squirrel Steals Snacks in London Supermarket
A sly squirrel sneaked into a Sainsbury’s supermarket in search of a snack in Clapham Town, London, earlier this week.Footage by Carys Jones shows the rodent atop a produce display as it appears to be “munching away” on broccoli, Jones said.“It didn’t seem bothered by people. It was really funny to see,” Jones told Storyful.A locally run Instagram page in the Clapham area also shared the video, with the description, “trialling Try Before You Buy in Clapham South.”A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said, “Safety and food hygiene standards are our highest priority. A curious squirrel was removed from our Balham Hill Local store this week after it popped in for a visit.”Sainsbury said that any food affected was immediately removed.
