Lakers vs. Rockets: LeBron James sparks L.A. to 6th straight road win
Rockets #Rockets
LeBron James finished with 26 points, 22 of which came in the first half, to go with eight rebounds and five assists to lead the Los Angeles Lakers in a route of the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night, earning the Lakers their sixth straight road win. In addition to James, the Lakers had a great two-way performance from Anthony Davis, who had 19 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocks in 29 minutes as the Lakers handled the Rockets, 117-100.
Neither Davis nor James cracked the 30-minute mark, which is even more important because the Lakers play again on Wednesday against a young Oklahoma City Thunder group.
The Lakers bounced back from a tough 3-point shooting night on Sunday against Houston to shoot 43.8% from the 3-point line as a squad on Tuesday. LeBron James and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope each led the Lakers with four 3-pointers. One of LeBron’s was quite disrespectful, as he turned to celebrate with his teammates before the ball went through the net during the Lakers’ first half romp.
In addition to James and Davis, the Lakers had three other players score in double-figures with Dennis Schröder, Caldwell-Pope, and Montrezl Harrell all pitching in.
