The four-time All-Star has plenty of respect for his longtime NBA Finals foe.

Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green, currently squaring off against LeBron James’s Los Angeles Lakers without an injured LeBron James, raved to Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today Sports about the 19-time All-Star both in his on- and off-court comportment.

“The thing I think is most impressive about the longevity and what’s he’s done is the game has changed dramatically since he entered the league and probably three, four different brands of basketball since he’s been in the league,” Green told Zillgitt. “He’s been at the top no matter what the game did.”

“When you look at those three things [James’s consistency, longevity and durability as a player], it’s a testament to how he lives his life,” Green told USA TODAY Sports. “I recently said he’s the greatest face the NBA has ever had. Think about the day and age we live in – cameras, social media – he’s never had a scandal. Never been arrested. Never photo’d drunk. Those things go hand in hand with durability, longevity, consistency.”

In his most recent healthy game (he has missed the last two with a sore left ankle), Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, James scored 38 points to set a new all-time NBA regular season scoring record: 38,390. How high can he get before he hangs up his Nikes? And how much longer will he do it in a Lakers uniform? We’ll find out soon enough.
