Lakers guard Austin Reaves is working on a vital part of his game

If there was one bright spot for the Los Angeles Lakers this season, it was the play of rookie guard Austin Reaves.
After going undrafted last June, L.A. scooped him up, and outgoing head coach Frank Vogel immediately placed him into the rotation.

Reaves shined brightly from the start, showing off an instinctual feel for the game. He proved he could dribble, pass, shoot and defend while reminding fans of Alex Caruso, who left the team during the offseason to join the Chicago Bulls.
Clearly, Reaves has to polish his game if he is going to truly stick around in the NBA as a valuable contributor. He says he is working on the one aspect of his game that needs the most work: 3-point shooting.
Via Silver Screen and Roll:
“The first thing is be in the weight room as much as possible. Just get stronger and then on top of that, really just work on everything. Really, the main thing is catch-and-shoot 3s. Corner 3s, for sure. Just working on a little bit of everything every day.”
Reaves shot 31.7% from 3-point range this year, which is very poor. However, at times, it was clear he has a smooth stroke and the potential to become an accurate sniper from the perimeter.
If he puts in several more months of this type of work, Lakers fans could see a clearly enhanced version of him this fall.
