Anthony Davis suffered a hip injury during Game 4 of Lakers vs Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies suffered an incredibly disappointing Game 4 loss against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night, but it looks like the Lakers didn’t come out of the game unscathed.

Anthony Davis was seen laboring his hip on the bench throughout the game and it looks like he may have sustained some type of hip injury. After the game, Lakers coach Darvin Ham revealed that Anthony Davis will be receiving around-the-clock treatment on his right hip. Ham also told reporters that Davis was battling through the injury all game.

The Lakers haven’t revealed what exact injury that Anthony Davis sustained with his hip, but Chris Haynes mentioned in the broadcast that he’s definitely “not right.” During Game 4, Davis only put up 12 points and 11 rebounds on 4/13 shooting. Despite the low numbers, he absolutely impacted the game.

Regardless of whether or not Anthony Davis plays in Game 5, the Memphis Grizzlies find themselves in an incredibly unfavorable position down 3-1. They can’t look to tie the series, but should be looking to win every game one game at a time. The Lakers have found ways to neutralize the Grizzlies offensively, but the Grizzlies also haven’t been helping themselves with so many missed threes.

The Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Lakers faceoff at 7:30 PM ET on Wednesday night for Game 5. It’s do-or-die for the Memphis Grizzlies now.
