Lachlan and Keira were crowned the winners of Beauty and the Geek Australia during Tuesday night’s finale.
The pair earned the most votes from the other contestants, ahead of Alexander and Eliza as well as Josie and George.
Lachlan and Keira broke down in tears as host Sophie Monk announced they’d won the $100,000 cash prize.
‘It means everything. Who I was when I first began seems like a far distant memory from who I am today. This experience has completely changed my life,’ Keira said.
Lachlan added: ‘Nick Percat was the first rookie in a number of years to have won Bathurst in 2011. He said afterwards, he would give the advice, “You celebrate hard, that will change your life”.’
‘This is something that will change our lives, so we need to make the most of this. We need to celebrate hard. Beauty And The Geek champions 2021!’ he said.
Keira and Lachlan jumped around excitedly as confetti fell and the other contestants embraced them.
‘My final advice for any geeks out there is believe in yourself, be proud of what you’re passionate about, and know your self-worth,’ Lachlan said.
