Krystian Bielik has eased fears over the injury that saw him carried off on a stretcher at Huddersfield Town by posting an update on social media.
The Derby County midfielder, currently on a season-long loan at Birmingham City, was taken off with nine minutes to go of Blues’ Championship defeat against Neil Warnock’s side, sparking major concerns.
Bielik had received treatment on the pitch before being wheeled around the touchline with his hand over his eyes and Blues head coach John Eustace was reluctant to give the 25-year-old the all-clear immediately after the game.

But Bielik posted what appeared to be a positive update on Sunday via his Instagram account. Smiling in a selfie, Bielik captioned it with ‘Everything OK’, suggesting his problem was not as serious as initially thought.
Bielik suffered two knee ligament injuries which cost him most of 2020 and 2021, although after a disrupted pre-season he proved his fitness to win a place in Poland’s squad for last year’s World Cup.
He has played 30 times in all competitions this season and is now facing a race against time to be fit to face Norwich City on Tuesday.
The Poland international is then set to return to Derby in the summer having granted him a season-long loan back in the summer to help him fulfill his dream of playing in the World Cup in Qatar.
