Unofficial election results show incumbents have won in their respective races for the Klein ISD school board, with all Harris County voting centers reporting.

Incumbent Cathy M. Arellano takes the race for position 6 over Kristin Cobb. For position 7, incumbent Rob Ellis wins over Jack “Joaquin” Velasquez. Election results are unofficial until they are canvassed.

Positions 6 and 7 were the only two Klein ISD school board seats up for election this November. Cobb and Velasquez were seeking election to their first terms on the school board while Arellano and Ellis were looking to be reelected this year.

Position 6

Cathy M. Arellano: 35,024

Kristin Cobb: 31,011

Position 7

Rob Ellis: 40,709

Jack “Joaquin” Velasquez: 23,750

According to Klein ISD’s website, the school district has a seven-member board of trustees. Members are elected in nonpartisan elections to serve three-year terms. Elections are held annually for either two or three board positions.

Election results are unofficial until canvassed.
