West Brom have officially announced that Matheus Pereira is a permanent Albion player – and, predictably, Baggies supporters are over the moon.
The Brazilian maestro proved to be one of the signings of the season in the Championship last term, a maiden campaign in England in which he scored eight goals and bagged 16 assists on Albion’s way to the Premier League.
It emerged earlier in the season that Pereira, 24, had already agreed terms regarding a permanent contract at The Hawthorns as he went about his business on the pitch.

A £750,000 loan fee was paid last summer, while the other £8.25m was to be paid to Sporting if Pereira made 30 starts and or if the Baggies were promoted.
Pereira has agreed a four-year contract.
Baggies supporters, awaiting summer business, were delighted with the announcement.
