Who is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia?
And of all the glittering gems in the Napoli crown right now, there are arguably few more exciting than Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who we’d go as far as saying is everybody’s favourite new footballer right now.
An absolute snip at just £9 million from Dinamo Batumi this summer, Kvaratskhelia has taken to life in Naples like a duck to water with a scintillating record of seven goals and five assists from his first 13 games.
Considering that he’s a 21-year-old who hadn’t played a second of football in one of Europe’s top five leagues until a few weeks ago, it truly does make for an impact of breath-taking proportions.
However, the proof isn’t just in the statistics, but also the eye test as well with the Georgia international’s talent and ability perfectly incapsulated by his performance in Napoli’s mid-week win over Ajax.
Scoring and assisting on his way to being named as WhoScored’s Man of the Match, the left winger put on an absolute clinic in attack with rapid passing, gorgeous dribbling and general attacking incisions in abundance.

So, yes, although it’s time to feel very excited about Napoli from top to bottom, we’d all be forgiven for getting extra excited about Mr. Kvaratskhelia because he really does look like one of the finest talents in the world right now.
