Kevin Nash: I Offered To Be Master Of Ceremonies Of WWE SummerSlam

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash pitched WWE on the idea of having him be the master of ceremonies for SummerSlam. However, he says it didn’t lead to anything.

On his Kliq This podcast, Nash looked back on his experience over SummerSlam weekend. He stated that he offered to be the master of ceremonies for the show. (H/t Fightful for the transcription)

“I asked if I could be involved,” Nash said. “I asked if I could be the master of ceremonies of SummerSlam. Deaf ears, baby.”

Nash then explained that he could have opened the show or talked to fans outside of the venue as part of the broadcast.

“Just being charming. Opening,” Kevin Nash said. “I was hoping just something on the ramp. ‘Welcome to Detroit.’ I would have been great with a camera crew outside of Ford Field talking with the Detroit fans and the fans from around the world that came in.”

Nash subsequently stated that he gave “them” a few months with the offer. The legend noted that he felt like they thought he would have said no, even though he was at the show.
