Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant sent out a tweet about Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry.
On Sunday afternoon, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors advanced to the second round of the NBA Playoffs by defeating the Sacramento Kings 120-100 in Game 7 of their first-round playoff series.
Curry was unbelievable, finishing the game with 50 points, eight rebounds, six assists and one steal in 38 minutes of playing time.
He also shot 20/38 from the field and 7/18 from the three-point range.
The 50 points are a new playoff career-high.
The two-time MVP was trending all over social media, and one person who sent out a tweet about Curry was Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant.
Durant tweeted: “Legendary 30. 50 pieces”
Durant and Curry were teammates for three seasons on the Warriors, and they made the NBA Finals in all three years (and won two NBA Championships).
Following the 2019 season, Durant left the Warriors to sign with the Brooklyn Nets (who traded him to the Suns in February).
With the victory, the Warriors are now headed to the second round of the NBA Playoffs, where they will face off with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers (who beat the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round).
They will host Game 1 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California, on Tuesday evening.
During the regular season, the Warriors went just 1-3 in the four games they played against the Lakers.
Curry finished the series against the Kings with incredible averages of 33.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per contest while shooting 48.8% from the field.
