Missouri at Kentucky odds, preview and prediction: Kentucky -2 (-110 or better)

Both teams are coming off rough losses. Kentucky (5-1) was pounded by No. 1 Georgia, 51-13. Missouri (5-1) was outscored 22-7 in the fourth quarter and lost to visiting LSU, 49-39.

Kentucky will rely on running back Ray Davis to provide offensive spark. Davis has gained 653 yards on 91 carries (7.2 average) with eight touchdowns. He also has four touchdown receptions.

Kentucky quarterback Devin Leary will need to step up on Saturday night, as he’s completing only 54% of his passes for 12 touchdowns and five interceptions through six games.

Missouri’s pathway to victory is quarterback Brady Cook going against the suspect Kentucky defense. Cook has completed 71.8% of his passes for 1,879 yards, with 13 touchdowns with only two interceptions. Kentucky’s defense has struggled stopping the pass — allowing a 70% or higher completion rate in four of six games — and is coming off a long game against Georgia.

Missouri is 3-3 against the spread; Kentucky is 4-2.

Missouri has scored at least 30 points in five of its six games. Cook is too talented a quarterback to overlook, especially against a defense that hasn’t been particularly stout. Look for Mizzou to win the game outright.
