Kelly Oubre records back-to-back monster dunks in first quarter of Warriors debut

The Golden State Warriors were thoroughly outmatched in the first quarter of their NBA season opener versus the Brooklyn Nets, falling behind 40-25. Steph Curry was predictably solid, but the only other Dubs player who showed signs of life was forward Kelly Oubre.

Oubre, who was acquired via trade in the offseason to help fill the void left behind by the injured Klay Thompson, pulled off the impressive feat of dunks on consecutive plays. In fact, he almost jammed it home on three trips within a single minute, but his first attempt narrowly ricocheted off the rim.

He made up for it a possession later though, with 3:57 left in the period. Check out this emphatic put-back on none other than Kevin Durant:

Almost immediately afterwards, Oubre stole the ball from Durant, sprinted down the court, and jammed it home yet again. The second dunk wasn’t necessarily good enough for a highlight reel, but in tandem with the first, it’s a notable achievement.

Oubre did miss his first couple of three-point attempts as a member of the Warriors, so that’s the next task on his offensive to-do list with his new squad.
