Kemi Badenoch has accused Sir Keir Starmer of “political point scoring” over the death of Brianna Ghey, the murdered transgender teenager, after a row at prime minister’s questions.
Rishi Sunak on Wednesday accused Starmer of repeatedly breaking his promises, including a “U-turn” over how to define a woman.
He joked that it was “only 99 per cent of a U-turn”, a reference to previous comments by Starmer that 99.9 per cent of women “of course haven’t got a penis.”
Starmer criticised Sunak for his comments, highlighting the fact that Ghey was attending the Commons. “Of all the weeks to say that, when Brianna’s mother is in this chamber, shame,” he said.
