KCON LA 2022 reveals second set of headliners

The second set of headliners for KCON LA 2022 was finally revealed Tuesday by CJ ENM.

Joining the first round of headliners announced last week for KCON LA 2022 are Loona, Kep1er, Lightsum, NCT Dream, Ateez, TO1, JO1 and INI.

Twelve-member girl group Loona, who just released their summer comeback “Flip That” yesterday and competed on Season 2 of Mnet’s reality girl group show “Queendom,” makes their return to KCON LA after their 2019 virtual performances.

Rookie girl group Kep1er, who released a summer comeback yesterday titled “Up!,” also competed on “Queendom” Season 2 and will make their U.S. debut at KCON LA.

Cube Entertainment’s Lightsum will make their U.S. debut at KCON LA following their successful recent comeback “Alive” which was released last month. Lightsum’s label mates (G)I-dle will also be in the U.S. soon for their tour as part of their promotions for “Tomboy.”

NCT’s third subunit, NCT Dream, will follow in the footsteps of NCT 127 to perform at KCON LA. The SM Entertainment boy group’s most recent comeback was “Glitch Mode” in March, which was later included in their repackaged album “Beatbox” in May.

KQ Entertainment’s boy group Ateez made a showing at KCON LA 2019 and are back again, most likely ready to perform tracks from their upcoming July comeback.

Boy group T01, formed through the reality show “World Klass” made their U.S. KCON debut at the Chicago premiere show in May.

As KCON isn’t just about Korean acts since it also welcomes artists from other countries in Asia, JO1, winners of the first season of “Produce 101 Japan,” will make their U.S. debut at KCON LA after performing at the KCON premier in Tokyo last month.

Ini, the Season 2 winners of “Produce 101 Japan,” also performed at the KCON premiere in Japan but are ready to perform in the U.S. for the first time.

KCON LA 2022 will run from August 19-21 at Crypto.com Arena and the Los Angeles Convention Center.
