Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, has showcased her wardrobe throughout her years as a royal which contains both clothing pieces from designer brands as well as high-street labels. Kate will regularly influence people’s style choices and pieces she wears tend to become an instant sellout.

As well as dressing down in jeans for certain occasions, the royal will also often send messages through her clothing pieces.

Whether that be adding a tartan scarf while on a trip to Scotland or wearing a red ring as a nod to the Polish flag while on a trip to Poland, the Duchess constantly stuns fans with her choices.

Kate’s style has also evolved over the years as a royal, and she now opts for many more timeless pieces such as long coats and plain heels.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, one expert shared how the Duchess has a “classic” style.

Emma Strzelecki, Personal Stylist from Emma Louise Styling, explained: “Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge dresses in a regal, but very current way.

“She has a classic style that works for many women, and is appropriate for her role within the Royal Family.

“Kate appeared elegantly and formally dressed most of the time when she first became a Duchess, but she’s often seen more casually these days.”

Even when dressing casually, Kate will dress appropriately for her role as a Duchess, and will often go for a smart-casual look.

Many of Kate’s favourite jean brands are also high-street stores.

When the Duchess recently received her first vaccine against COVID-19, she opted for a pair of & Other Stories jeans, making Kate appear more relatable to royal fans.

The expert went on: “Many women’s style will adapt over the years and after children, but Kate’s personal style is still very strong and recognisable.

“Princess Diana also dressed in a very timeless style, although she took more risks when she was no longer required to be so conservative.

“Diana also liked to inject a little bit of fun into her outfits, which at times Kate does in a less obvious way, such as a pretty collar or pop of colour.

“As a Personal Stylist, many of my clients name Kate as a style icon.”

Kate was recently seen wearing a bright blue blazer while on a trip in Scotland with William, and Princess Diana also had a similar looking piece.

The Duchess also isn’t afraid to rewear her pieces of clothing again and again as well as recycling pieces of jewellery too.

Some of her favourite pieces of jewellery are from high-street brands including Missoma and Monica Vinader.

The Duchess ‘Siren’ earrings from Monica Vinader are on regular rotation in Kate’s collection, and they retail for around £125.

They quickly became one of the retailer’s bestsellers after Kate debuted them and prove to be a constant sell-out.
