Kareena Kapoor opens up on voicing the iconic Black Widow, reveals how she plans to bring in her own element to the character

Kareena Kapoor Khan has been in the industry for almost two decades and is one of the most sought after actors of today. The 42-year-old, who has been part of many successful projects recently launched her first-ever Audible podcast series, Marvel’s Wastelanders, in which she will voice the iconic Black Widow in Hindi.

Recently, in an interview to indianexpress.com, the Refugee actor opened up on how she relates with the character of Black widow. She said, “The fact that it’s so iconic, Black Widow is so powerful and fierce, somewhere I resonated with it when they kept sending me stuff to read up on, her story and character. I instantly connected with her and got an idea why they wanted me to play this. Somehow I’m also a very fierce person, in a good way, in a positive way. Fierce can go either way but it is like a compliment for me. Somehow if you do it positively, it works for you. So I felt very close to Black Widow, I could feel a connection.”

She further went on to reveal how she plans to add her own tweak to the character. She said. “Lets see what I can add, a little bit of mystery, a little bit of power and intrigue is what I’m thinking of adding to the character.”

On the movies front, Kareena will soon be seen in Hansal Mehta’s untitled next. Apart from that, she will also be seen making her digital debut with ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’ with Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma.
