The midfielder made a terrible mistake in his Hammers debut against Bournemouth earlier this month, inadvertently setting up Dominic Solanke to score.
And he was at fault for Manchester United’s third goal in West Ham’s 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford earlier this month.
But his stint at the London Stadium hit a new low on Saturday afternoon when he was giving his marching orders against Forest for a second bookable offence.
Phillips received the two bookings in the space of THREE MINUTES, much to the shock of footie fans.
One jokingly said on X: “Kalvin Phillips has had a good start at West Ham.”
Another said: “Kalvin Phillips with one of the worst loan spells in history after like 5 games is mad.”
And another said: “Kalvin Phillips sent off for West Ham on his second start.
“What a disastrous loan.”

One remarked: “I can’t remember a worse start to a loan than Kalvin Phillips at West Ham.”
Another chimed in: “Not the best start to his loan spell.”
One furious Hammers fan said: “Kalvin Phillips is a disgrace.
“Send him back. Total lack of composure and professionalism.”
Phillips’ 71st-minute dismissal gave West Ham an even bigger mountain to climb at the City Ground.
David Moyes’ troops were already 1-0 down thanks to a first-half stoppage-time strike from Taiwo Awoniyi.
And things went from bad to worse for the Scot as Forest capitalised on their numerical advantage in the 95th minute when former Chelsea man Callum Hudson Odoi struck to seal the victory.
