The thrashing also marks the first time Liverpool have conceded four or more goals at Anfield in the competition’s history. Madrid’s manager, Carlo Ancelotti, however, still sees Liverpool as a ‘very competitive team’ and predicted that Real would have to ‘suffer’ through the second leg.
