Julian Bleach reprises his Doctor Who role as Davros for Children in Need

Davros #Davros

In a brilliant, specially-filmed scene for BBC Children in Need, Julian Bleach reprised his role as the villainous scientist Davros, the creator of the Daleks.

Typically seen in his life-sustaining “chair” resembling the base unit of a Dalek’s casing, this time Davros is seen as an able-bodied Kaled scientist scheming to encase the mutant Kaled race in gliding armoured casings.

His anxious assistant, Mr Castavillian (Mawaan Rizwan), can only look on with increasing astonishment.

As Davros leaves, Mr Castavillian is surprised by the TARDIS crash-landing in the Dalek laboratory with none other than the Fourteenth Doctor (David Tennant), who inadvertently supplies the missing terminology and equipment to complete the Dalek race before beating a hasty retreat.

The special scene, titled Destination: Skaro, was written by Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies and filmed at Wolf Studios Wales by Jamie Donoughue, the director of the two-part finale of the 2024 Doctor Who series. Perhaps fans will see Davros again.

Companion series Doctor Who: Unleashed filmed an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip of the special scene.
