Vintage pop band Donna Blue has shared ‘The Beginning’, the final single before the release of its upcoming debut album Dark Roses, to be released Friday, May 13 via Dutch indie label Snowstar Records. ‘The Beginning’ follows previous singles ‘A Lover In Disguise’, ‘Solitaire’, and the album’s title track ‘Dark Roses’. ‘The Beginning’ is now available online everywhere, and comes with a visualizer video to accompany the mysterious tone of the song.

On September 20 Fawning will release their debut EP Too Late on NeverNotGoth a brand new subsidiary from Graveface Records (Casket Girls, Xiu Xiu, Appleseed Cast, Tokyo Shoegazer etc). The NeverNotGoth label will reissue obscure darkwave/industrial/goth gems but will also release new artists and Fawning’s EP is available to pre-order HERE. Today Fawning shared the title track from the EP with Post-Punk Magazine and the song can be shared at Bandcamp orSoundcloud. About the song the band told Post-Punk ”Too Late’ was the first song that we finished together. The lyrics are mostly about being so invested and in love in a relationship, that the other person could really do nothing wrong and even if they did, you wouldn’t be able to leave. But it also just words because they sounded good.’

Through the use of stop motion, hand painted film and found footage, Abby Gregg’s painterly style of animation translates musical themes of ’29 Palms’ into intimate textures, immersive atmospheres and abstract landscapes with an emphasis on desert and oceanic environments. With the visual content compiled, Taber Lathrop’s connects the song’s whimsical, psychedelic and personal themes to the abstract, emotional and textural landscapes.
