Josie Gibson debuts new look for This Morning return in £28 River Island top

Shoppers can replicate Josie’s latest This Morning look with products from River Island and Boots

Fans were delighted as Josie Gibson returned as This Morning host this week (February 19) alongside her Irish co-star Craig Doyle. The 39-year-old looked gorgeous as she debuted a glamorous new look, having ditched her iconic blonde locks over the weekend for something a little more on-trend.

The Bristolian stepped out with a dramatic new hair do, having opted for a new copper hue and sun-kissed money piece a-la 90s Gerri Halliwell.

Sharing a photo of her Monday morning glam to her 712k Instagram followers, people couldn’t stop swooning over her hair transformation, with pal Katie Piper commenting: “Love your new hair”, while This Morning beauty presenter Nadine Baggott added: “Look at you gorgeous woman.”

While showing off her new tresses, Josie wore a pair of slimming black trousers from shapewear masters Spanx, pointed white heels and an affordable long sleeved marble print top from the high street, which costs less than £30.

River Island’s Beige Mesh Marble Long Sleeve Top comes in at £28, and with the design being hailed the ‘print of the season’ by the retailer, it’s already selling fast after fans spotted it on Josie. According to the fashion chain favourite, it’s sold more than 188 times in the past 48 hours, with a number of sizes already out of stock.

However, it’s not the only piece River Island has launched in the design, with the latest collection also starring two dresses and a relaxed-fit satin shirt in the must-have pattern. In an Instagram post, Islander Liz shared a handful of wears to wear the pieces, with the clip captioned: “You heard it here first: marble is the print of the season.”

The clips show a gorgeous shift mini dress at £40, which is perfect for date nights, birthday parties and other celebrations, a mesh midi dress, £38 here, that works for both daytime and evening and a versatile shirt for £35.

But if it’s the style of top you’re loving, they’ve got you covered there too, with black, brown and a buttery yellow shade available in the mesh style, as well. It comes as Loose Women’s Frankie Bridge has tipped the lemony shade to be huge this spring.

Wearing a yellow button-up longline coat, also from River Island, she told her followers: “Yellow is the colour to add to your wardrobe this year, we’re going to be seeing a lot of it!”

If it’s Josie’s hair you’re looking to replicate, though, you can give it a go with a semi-permanent home hair dye. Bleach London’s Semi-Permanent Proper Copper Super Cool Colour is a purse-friendly £6.50, and provides a wash-out auburn hue that’s ideal for those with lighter locks.
