Joseline Hernandez was moved to tears as she talked about her former kindergarten teacher and how she influenced her life.

The reality star appeared on an April 12 episode of the We In Miami podcast, with host Slim Stunta asking questions about her career, EURweb reported.

When asked if she thought she would make it this far in her position, the Joseline’s Cabaret star replied, “Absolutely.”

She continued, “You know, coming from Puerto Rico was super hard, not having nothing coming to America. I remember I had a kindergarten teacher that was very special to me. Hopefully, she sees this, but she told me something that I never forgot. She told me to just write.”

The 36-year-old became emotional as she explained why the educator had such an impact on her life.

“Even if it was in Spanish and English, I just wrote, and she helped me to write,” Hernandez recalled. “And I feel like she’s the reason why I’m a writer. And then, when she read it, she made me feel like I wrote something great. Even though what I wrote was like gibberish, right? I was walking around without shoes and stuff like that. And so for me to be able to get out of that, I’ve really come far.”

Hernandez made headlines last year after she was hit with a $25 million lawsuit when several cast members of the reality show accused her of assault, Shadow and Act reported.

The former dancers recalled showing up in high heels to a taping of the reunion show, but the 36-year-old was reportedly waiting for them with hard-bottomed boots and attacked them.

Despite Hernandez’s problematic past, the entertainer revealed she has “been practicing yoga for the past six years” to combat her anger issues, according to EURweb.
