Jordan Poole Shuts Down Rumors He Spent $500,000 on a Date With Ice Spice

Over the past year, Bronx-bred rapper Ice Spice has become one of the hottest names in music with fans watching her every move. The “Munch” MC keeps parts of her personal life out of the headlines, including who she dates. Still, that doesn’t prevent rumors from circulating, including one alleging that Washington Wizards player Jordan Poole spent $500,000 on a date with the rapper.

The rumor actually wasn’t started by a crazy fan, but by another New York rapper: Cam’ron. Back in May, the Dipset frontman claimed during an episode of his It Is What It Is web show that Poole dropped $500K on a date with Ice Spice. And while one would think it would have to do with some bad blood between the two or Cam simply joking around, he was actually just frustrated with Poole’s performance on the court.

“Jordan Poole, you spent $500,000 on an Ice Spice date,” he said. “You’re a munch and you’re playing like a fucking munch. This is not you from last year, bro. Go back to Milwaukee and figure it the fuck out and get back in the playoffs ’cause you look crazy.”

Poole finally addressed the rumor head-on and denied that he had any connection to the “Bikini Bottom” rapper during a Wizards fan meet-and-greet this week. “Definitely not,” he said when asked if he really did go on a pricey date with the rapper, going on to say the story was “definitely cap.”

His firm answer should dispel any beliefs that the “Boy’s a Liar.”
