The relationship between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole likely is strained off the court, but on it, there are no signs of friction.
That much was evident late in the first half of the Warriors’ season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night at Chase Center.
Poole and Green executed a pick-and-roll to perfection, with the four-time All-Star forward setting the screen on Lonnie Walker IV. When Anthony Davis switched on to Poole, Green rolled to the basket and no one followed him.
Poole dropped a perfect bounce pass and Green completed the sequence with an easy, uncontested layup.
The duo has been in the news the last few weeks after Green punched Poole during a Warriors practice on Oct. 5. Green was fined and spent a few days away from the team to focus on himself.
Green returned to Warriors practice last Thursday and Poole signed a four-year contract extension Sunday, locking him with the franchise through the 2026-27 season.

If the first game of the season is any indication, the Warriors should be just fine on the court.
