Jordan Harris staying at Northeastern University next season

MONTREAL – General manager Marc Bergevin announced on Monday that defenseman Jordan Harris will return to the Northeastern University Huskies next season.
After discussions between the organization, Jordan and members of his family, it was agreed that this is the right course of action for his development. The organization is fully supportive of this plan. Jordan remains totally committed to the Montreal Canadiens for the future.
Harris, 20, played 19 games with Northeastern in Hockey East this season and amassed 19 points (6 goals, 13 assists). The 5’11” and 185 lbs blueliner led all defensemen on his team in goals, assists and points, in addition to serving as an alternate captain for the first time. In 91 career NCAA games, he produced 53 points (10 goals, 43 assists).
Harris also played with the United States at the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship where he scored one goal and posted a plus-4 differential in five contests. He was selected in the third round (71st overall) by the Canadiens at the 2018 NHL Draft.
