  • Jordan Finlayson is on parole for prior drug offences
  • Police say she has ‘an extensive history of drug use’
  • A troubled former reality TV star and ex-NRL cheerleader has ‘zero remorse and regard for authority’ as she was hit with two new charges, police have said in documents tendered to court.

Jordan Finlayson did not appear in Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday where her lawyer entered a plea of guilty to driving while under the influence of drugs.

Court documents revealed the former star of Beauty and the Geek is on parole until September for prior drug offences.

‘The accused has an extensive history of drug use and violent domestic violence offences,’ the police fact sheet said.

‘Despite the accused being put before the court multiple times for her offences the accused continues to reoffend with zero remorse and regard for authority.’

According to court documents, the 32-year-old crashed a white Toyota Yaris into a barrier about 3.55am on February 7.

When police arrived, Finlayson was found unconscious in the driver’s seat as she was being assisted by an ‘unknown and unrelated’ witness, while making groaning noises.

She was not responsive to police, prompting them to open the passenger door which ‘immediately’ caught her attention and she ‘began acting erratic’.

‘The accused leant over to the passenger side seat and said “Hey babe” while no one was seated there,’ court documents stated.

Finlayson appeared confused and became visibly upset and distressed. She was moved to a stretcher as she had trouble standing up.

She told authorities she consumed alcohol but was unable to answer any questions as she was still upset, according to court documents.

Finlayson was taken to Ryde Hospital for treatment, but police were told the following day she ‘had absconded from hospital’ without providing a urine sample.

A sample of her blood was sent for analysis where it returned a positive result for gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB) and methylamphetamine (ice).

In court documents, police said Finlayson had made an admission to ‘relapsing and smoking meth’ in July.

They said this was a ‘clear representation of the accused’s inability to cease drug use and seek rehabilitation, continuously being a risk to other motorists at risk with zero remorse’.

On Tuesday, her lawyer also entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of unlawfully obtaining goods, with police alleging she had two NAB Visa cards and a Medicare card which were suspected to be stolen, according to court documents.

Just four days before she was caught driving on drugs, Finlayson appeared in court for an unrelated assault matter where lawyer Daniel Grippi told the court she was in the midst of an ‘ongoing battle with drug addiction’.

At the time, Finlayson had completed a three-week rehabilitation program and was recommended to continue treatment.

The matter was dismissed on mental health grounds.

She remains on bail, with the matter to return to court in October.
